Wild Oak Wellness is a comprehensive Integral Healing practice, which focuses on Holistic Chinese Medicine and other natural healing modalities, founded by Dr. David Campbell, DSOM, LAc. Dr. David Campbell loves living in and serving the community of Coeur d’Alene, Kootenai County, and the surrounding areas. Dr. Campbell has had a passion for Holistic Healing for over 20 years, and he spent 5 years in Doctoral program studying Oriental Medicine. In his practice of Chinese Medicine, Dr. Campbell is passionate about helping people to find harmony, meaning, insight, and growth in their lives. David treats each of his patients as a whole person, applying diverse techniques tailored for individualized care. Dr. Campbell utilizes acupuncture and manual therapies for immediate relief, herbal medicine for medium term support, and diet and lifestyle improvements for building long term foundations of health. David is careful to calibrate his treatments to the sensitivity level of each person so that his patients get the most out of their visits.
Dr. David Campbell, DSOM, LAc is also certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM.org) as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, which is their most comprehensive certification, requiring proficiency in four areas: Foundations of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, Biomedicine, and Chinese Herbology. Because the Chinese Herbology exam is not required for licensure in many states, most acupuncturists do not take that exam, and are therefore only certified in Acupuncture, not Oriental Medicine as a whole.
